Back to Show Notes Contents.
The book of 1 Samuel describes the activities of the prophet Samuel; the chiefdom of Israel's
first king, Saul; and David's war against Saul's house. Saul's small chieftain was located in the north, in what would become Samaria. This is also the area frequented vy the prophet Samuel. 1 Samuel describes David as operating well to the south of Saul, in what would become Judea.
